Closing up
Staff clock-ins
The team clocks in on the same terminal they already use to take payment, with their PIN. There is no separate application and no notebook in the office, which is where records get lost.
Clocking
You mark the start when the shift begins and the end when it finishes, with each person's PIN. Because it is the same terminal used for service, there is nowhere to walk to and no extra step to remember at the end of the night.
Checking the record
From the panel you can see clock-ins by person and by day. That is what you need when payroll comes around or when a question about a specific shift needs settling.
Missed clock-outs
Someone will leave without clocking out. When it happens, correct it from the panel as soon as it is noticed and with the real time: a record corrected promptly holds up; one reconstructed from memory three weeks later does not.
It is your obligation, not ours
Working-time records are an employer obligation, with its own rules on retention and access. Brío gives you the tool to keep them; how you apply that to your staff and what you have agreed with them is between you and your advisers.
