Getting started

Your venue branding

What your customer sees carries your brand, not ours. You set it once in the venue's page and it applies to the menu, the order screen, the browser tab icon and whatever gets shared on WhatsApp.

Where your brand rules and where it does not

Your identity dresses everything the diner touches. The working screens — kitchen, till and panel — stay Brío's: they are your team's tools, not a shop window, and recolouring them would only make them harder to recognise on a busy shift.

Colours

There are five: the paper (the background), the ink (the text), the accent (prices, buttons and section titles), a supporting one for secondary text and a soft one for rules and dividers. Those five recolour the whole menu. Choose the accent thinking about whether it reads against the paper, not only whether it matches.

Typefaces

You pick from a closed list. That is not an arbitrary limit: fonts are downloaded when the application is built, and that is what stops the menu from having to fetch them from another server while your customer waits on a poor connection.

Logo and symbol

The full logo signs the menu. The standalone symbol — the mark without the name — is used where the lockup does not fit: the browser tab icon and the centre of the QR code. If you do not upload a symbol, those places keep Brío's, which works but is not yours.

What gets shared on WhatsApp

When the menu link is sent, the preview is composed on the fly with your logo on your paper. If no logo is loaded, no image is announced, which beats sending Brío's: the link is yours and that is how it should arrive.
